Training Description:

Did you know- research shows math language predicts later math AND reading skills! You can foster a strong math foundation with the children you care for just by talking and using math vocabulary in your everyday conversations, it's that simple! You will also leave the training with toy, book, and game suggestions to use in your childcare as well as handouts to provide to families so they can support math language at home!

Training Outcomes:

In this training, you will learn:

• How gender stereotypes impact math learning
• Language strategies to support teaching math in ways that littles learn best
• 5 key math concepts to focus on from birth through preschool age

Training Credit:

This 3 hour training is approved for 0.3 IACET CEU's. Check that the training is approved in your state.

Assessment:

At the end of the training is a 10 question multiple choice quiz. You must pass with an 80% but don't worry, you get 3 opportunities to take and pass the quiz!

Completion Deadline:

This training expires 6 months from the date of purchase. The course must be successfully completed by the expiration date in order to receive a certificate. Don't forget to download and save the supplemental resources too!
