Supporting Fine Motor Skills from Infancy Through Preschool

The training is designed to equip childcare providers with the knowledge and skills necessary to support and enhance fine motor development for handwriting. Participants will learn what fine motor skills develop and when starting at infancy through age 5. You will leave the training with play ideas, toy suggestion, table top activities, and ways to provide explicit letter forming instruction to support handwriting skills at each stage of development: infant, toddler, and preschooler. The training also gives you utensil recommendations for common skills like pencil grasp and cutting, how to support children with fine motor delays, and we will answer common FAQ’s.
